Photos of Wedding Flowers of Appleford Estate, Villanova Wedding by Amaranth Florist
One of our first wedding flower designs of this season, Lynne and Rich were married in May at Appleford Estate, Villanova. Clusters of pink and white paper lanterns suspended over the tables (with a little help from the firetruck ladders!) echoed the clusters of vases, jars, and other mixed containers used as centerpieces. The bridesmaids navy dresses were an excellent backdrop for their bouquets in shades of pink and white; white hydrangea, light pink spray roses, hot pink ranunculus, medium pink standard roses, and hot pink forget-me-nots. Navy blue and pink go together so well! Amaranth Florist was glad to be a part of this day.

Before all of the spring and summer weddings start to flood in, I thought we’d have one last look at a wedding from my favorite season— Fall. Kara and Tyler were married back in November at the Radnor Hunt Club, and they had the most perfect Fall day! The maids bouquets popped so well against their plum dresses, and the centerpieces were wonderfully seasonal with lotus pods, wheat, orange asiatic lilies, fall leaves, and seeded eucalyptus surrounding our lanterns.

I had the pleasure of working with Naomi and Josh on their wedding last July at the Franklin Institute, and I must say everything looked spectacular! This was our first event at the Franklin Institute, we really couldn’t have asked for a cooler place. From the ceremony under the stars in the planetarium, to cocktails around the giant heart, and the reception in the main hall with Ben Franklin’s statue, I’m sure the guests won’t soon forget this wedding!
Naomi’s bouquet was elegant yet fun, in shades of white and yellow. White stock and Creme de la Creme roses accent the delicate cattleya orchids that are the focus of the bouquet. The frills of the orchids wonderfully matched the skirt of Naomi’s dress!

It seems like spring is coming a little early here in Narberth! Here’s hoping it lasts, and that there’s no surprise snow on the way. Since the weather is so beautiful, I’m posting a wedding from last year that always makes me think spring!
Mary and John were married back in June of 2011 at the Hotel Palomar in Philadelphia. Mary’s bouquet was an explosion of jewel tones with red roses, purple lisianthus, yellow and white ranunculus, fuchsia dianthus, and Flaming Parrot tulips. The tulips were especially gorgeous, and they are even more amazing in person!
The centerpieces were a clustered trio of vases with varying combinations of purple hydrangea, yellow roses, yellow lilies, red roses, and fuchsia dianthus.
