Lauren and Brad were married earlier this year in April at The Old Mill in Rose Valley. The Old Mill is a fantastic venue, and one I always look forward to doing an event at. The interior of the building is so charming, and there are a million beautiful photo opportunities around the grounds. They even have a little waterfall! Lauren’s color choice went so well with the sunny, spring day she was married on. For her centerpieces, she really wanted blooming forsythia branches to bring the outdoors inside. As the forsythia was just beginning bloom, amassing such a quantity was challenging, but turned out so well! The tall yellow branches perfectly suited the atmosphere of the reception room at the Old Mill.
The bridesmaid’s bouquets included daffodils, roses, ranunculus, tulips, craspedia, and matched the centerpieces in shades of sunny yellow. Yellow flowers against dark navy dresses always looks so good!
The bride’s bouquet was a traditional mixture of white and ivory flowers, but had so much interesting texture to it. Flowers such as garden roses, ranunculus, spray roses, tulips, waxflower, and hydrangea made a wonderfully springy bouquet. Lauren also brought heirloom lace from a family member’s wedding veil for us to wrap around her bouquet handle. I love little touches like that!
